New York Copyright date- Number of pg. His stories are from his time he spent over in Vietnam. The book explains his job and what he tells stories of his friends.
The view point of the book is told in a journal like I said before. More about the book, the book also talks a about what life is like away from the United States and how he misses the States and the life he left behind to help his country.
He also talks about his gear and how he thinks the army gets all the good stuff and he is given the left overs, the stuff no one wants. Application Questions Important Event- There is two events that are the most important I think. The first one is giving his life to serve his country as an 18 year old boy that is a very big decision to make.
He is leaving a lot behind to go to war as an 18 year old. That is the second event because he gave his life and was injured and that is what a true hero does. So the top events are is going to war and coming home.
Character- Patrick because he was a very strong young man. He was born In Boston and grew up in Boston and he played football for his high school and he was also planning to go play in college. At the end of the story he becomes a very strong man. He reminds me of my brother and his cancer story. Recommend- I would recommend this book because it show the story of a strong young man.
I would also recommend the book to the people who like war stories because this one is a great one because it tells stories of the war but also off the battle field and how life was on and off the battle field as well.
